Our New Home

So, after getting married, I joined Brett in Tyler to begin our life. Brett had been working for the past school year at the Brook Hill School as a football, basketball, and track coach. Little did we know that we would only live in Tyler for the next 3 months of our marriage. At the beginning of May, Brett received a phone call offering him a job to work as the Assistant Director of Equipment for the Baylor Football team. Of course, we could not turn down this offer - so we packed up the apartment and moved back home to Waco, Tx!

Our tiny apartment looked like this for about a week as we planned our move to Waco.

The honeymoon

We left on Sunday morning, March 6th for our honeymoon to Secrets Capri Riviera Resort near Cancun, Mexico! We had the best 6 days and 6 nights laying on the beach, swimming in the pool, eating and drinking at all of the amazing restaurants, relaxing, and enjoying our new life together! Here are a few pictures from our trip.

So this is a funny story.. Notice the pen and paper in the waiter's hand. Well, Brett thought it would be hilarious to tell our waiter that I am famous in America and I used to perform on the Mickey Mouse Club. Our waiter was so excited because his daughter LOVES Mickey Mouse Club and so of course he wanted my autograph and a picture with me! By this time all of the other waiters were starting to approach me for autographs. Good thing we were done with dinner because I walked out of there as fast as I could!

It's time.

Well, we have decided it is time to start a blog! So many of our friends have started blogs and I think it will be a fun way to document our years as a newlywed! I thought it would be good to start off with a few highlights from our wedding.
